"That's a million dollar view" Putting a dollar amount on nature is just one way to set its value. A CELEBRATION OF OPEN SPACE on Thurs., May 26, at 7:00P.M. at the newly opened and exciting Preservation Hall will help participants deepen their appreciation of Wellfleet's open lands and come to a new understanding of ways they can enjoy and use the Town's unique open spaces. Learn how these jewels can contribute to our health, our wealth, and our sense of serenity and wonder.
Friends of open space in the Wellfleet community have developed a program to communicate information, reflections, and a sense of joy in this protected environment through slides, and paintings, and music. Local artists Rick Fleury, Peter Watt, Terry Gips, musicians Harriet Korim and Dan Sullivan, and representatives from The Conservation Trust, the Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Sanctuary, the Friends of the Herring River Restoration, The Conservation Commission, the Natural Resources Advisory Board, and the Open Space Committee will share their unique perspectives.
Admission is FREE. Participate in this conversation, pick up trail guides and other useful information, enjoy the refreshments, and get new ideas to use for yourself and your children and grandchildren.
