Alongside the wild fishery for oysters, quahogs and steamers aquaculture has re-emerged as a major industry in Wellfleet. Yellow buoys along the bayside mark the leased grant area that the commercial fishermen plant and tend. You can try your hand at clamming and oystering yourself. The town stocks and maintains a designated area for visitors. Obtain your license at the Beach Sticker building and head for a day on the flats. Who knows, you might pick up dinner.
