Jazz, classical, reggae, R&B, singer-songwriters, blues, rock, folk, opera --Wellfleet has an astounding array of live music and venues. The Wellfleet Beachcomber, perched atop the dunes at Cahoon Hollow Beach in a former Coast Guard Station, is known across New England as a place to see local, regional, and nationally known live bands. The Duck Creeke Tavern, Winslow’s Tavern, Bookstore Restaurant, The Juice, and other restaurants have frequent musical guests as well. Classical musicians appear through series presented by the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, Lighthouse Chamber Players, and other groups. Free concerts are sponsored by the Town of Wellfleet in the tent on Mayo Beach throughout the summer. Wellfleet Preservation Hall, The Congregational Church, Wellfleet Public Library, Methodist Church, are some of the places you can hear music throughout the year.
