The Pilgrim Monument was built in 1907 to honor the Pilgrims’ first landing in Provincetown. The tower is 252 feet high and is the tallest all granite structure in the US. The tower is open to the public.
At the base of the Monument is the Provincetown Museum. Exhibits highlight the arrival of the Mayflower Pilgrims, the town’s rich maritime history, the early days of modern American theater in Provincetown, and the building of the monument.
