The Wellfleet Cultural Council is a town committee of volunteers appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The WCC receives funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to support programs in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in Wellfleet. This definition includes the study, pursuit, performance, exhibition, and appreciation of cultural activities in the broadest sense. The WCC identifies community priorities, reviews funding applications, and decides how to distribute funds.
