Arnold's owner is Nathan “Nick” Nickerson, a true Cape Cod native and Mayflower descendant. Nick grew up surrounded by the sea and worked on farms and with family in Cape Cod restaurants. 35 years ago he founded what has become the world-famous Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar. From the start, crowds were drawn to the fresh, native seafood, generous portions, friendly service and fun Cape Cod atmosphere found at Arnold's.
USA Today said, “By day, it’s a boisterous, kid-friendly spot that doles out lobster rolls and fried seafood to families straight from (or headed to) the beach; by night, it’s a laid-back watering hole/raw bar where jovial owner Nick Nickerson mans the ‘shucking shack.’ ... New at Arnold's this year is a fascinating video showing Cape fishermen and women at sea and on the flats harvesting the fish and shellfish that gets delivered to Arnold's daily. Entertaining and educational, Nick produced this video to introduce his customers to some great Cape Cod characters and our heritage as a fishing community.
Arnold's is right on the bike path and the corner of Route 6 and Old Orchard Road in Eastham, next to Arnold's Mini Golf, the Cape's newest, most beautiful course. The 18 challenging holes were designed by a golf architect with waterfalls, streams, ponds, historic Cape sights and a treasure chest.
